When Rachael Rogers and Sofie Svelander began their professional journeys, they quickly recognized a significant gap in the professional development resources available to women. They found that connecting with ambitious, like-minded women who could offer real, relatable career advice was harder than they anticipated. Available professional development resources were often generic, stale, and lacking vitality.
Women overwhelmingly rank professional development as an extremely important factor in their career choices. Yet, over half of them report dissatisfaction with the current offerings. In fact, a recent study revealed that 99% of working women rate professional development as important and they heavily weigh this factor when considering new employment opportunities. Despite this, over 50% of the women surveyed felt the same dissatisfaction that Rachael and Sofie experienced.
Recognizing this need for change, Rachael and Sofie decided to create a solution: GameChangers.
GameChangers was founded to fill the gap in the workplace by providing young, emerging female leaders with the resources they need to gain career momentum. This community provides a professional development greenhouse where women can come together to experience community lift and break down career obstacles.
